Hangzhou, April 16, 2026 –The 22nd meeting of ISO/TC22/SC32/WG4, hosted by KBE was held in Hangzhou,China. The meeting focused on the revision of global standards for automotive electrical cables and the promotion of technological innovation, attracting nearly 70 top industry technical experts from 13 countries including China, the United States, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom. The number of participants set a new record since the establishment of the Special Working Groups, demonstrating the global automotive cable industry’s high attention to the standard discussion.
During the meeting, experts from various countries conducted comprehensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions on key topics such as revision proposals for the ISO 19642 series standards, the formulation of automotive bus bar standard drafts (including definitions, test methods and dimensional specifications), and the inclusion of the 25GBASE-T1 standard for in-vehicle Ethernet, aiming to build industry consensus and solve technical difficulties.
KBE dispatched its core R&D team to participate in the meeting throughout the process. The team actively voiced opinions in multiple key links, including the accurate calculation of insulation resistance, the unification of test methods, the improvement of dimensional and material specifications, and the correction of test accuracy and clauses. It also took the initiative to submit professional proposals and share practical experience, providing operable technical references for standard optimization, which was widely recognized by experts from all countries.
The successful hosting of this meeting not only built an efficient platform for technical collaboration and standard unification in the global automotive cable field, but also highlighted KBE’s professional strength and industry influence in the international automotive wire and cable standardization field.
